Welcome to the Dollhouse

Ian and I enjoy making things for our girls. It gives us a little pride in the toys our girls have. We decided that the girls (especially Niev) needed a dollhouse and dolls for Christmas since Niev was using her blocks for dolls and pretending almost anything was a house for her "dolls". We stayed up countless nights painting and ModPodging and polyerethaning. It was fun to work together, but kind of stressful when we saw how much work we still had to do on Christmas Eve! The pictures aren't great, but they get the idea across. It is much better in person...trust me! Gramma Buh painted all the furniture and fake Aunt Vickie made the pillows and bedding. The girls really love it.

WOW! So how much do we send you and can you ship to Virgina?! :) You guys are seriously showin' up the kit dollhouse T put together for Hal, which broke already and found its way to the garbage within 3 months!

I'm sure T will be SO grateful for all the grand ideas you just put into my head that I will try to shove onto him to get done!

But seriously, you guys did an incredible job, I'm sure the girls will love it for years to come!

Uhhh....AWESOME! Wow, what great gifts! Things mean so much more when they are homemade. Tonight we were looking at a school bag my grandma made me in the 2nd grade. It's one of my priceless treasures. I'm sure your girls will feel the same way when they grow up. Neat!!

Nice! Reminds me of a doll house dad made me when I was a little boy. Larry always new what I liked. Seriously if dad would have made me a house that cool I would have played with it. You guys have some serious skills.

Seriously so cool! I want one too! You really should market those. How lucky are your girls to have such loving parents. I love the Dwight doll and the Ocean room.

This really is unbelievable. You could auction it off for a fortune. Seriously, I am just amazed--this is by far the coolest, most creative dollhouse I've ever seen.

How long did it take you to do all the detail inside? Where did you come up with the design? How long did the whole thing take? I am in awe! Your girls are seriously lucky.
