Overwhelmed

My gracious mother-in-law has offered to get me a baby sling/carrier for Christmas and has turned the buying over to me so that I get just what I want. I thought, "Okay, that should be easy enough." WRONG! I quickly found out that a baby sling is not just an easy buy. There are way TOO many options! I need advice/opinions/reviews from you moms out there (even you secret blog stalkers). Where did you get your sling? What did you love and hate about your sling? Is a sling something you would get again? What do I need to know about buying a sling? Was your husband able to use your sling too? etc. These are the questions that I need answering! I've done some research but I get overwhelmed with all the options and I don't want to make a wrong choice. Let me know what advice you have. Thanks!

I have a baby bjorn. I loved mine. the hard part about buying a sling when you're pregnant, is that you can't comfortably try it on. Mike wore ours, he had no problem. It's black so he didn't mind it. Good luck!

I have a baby bjorn too and I LOVED it! I would do dishes/vaccum/take walks, etc. with him in it and it always put him right to sleep. Bobby would wear it with Tyler too because it was black. DEFINITELY get one, they are absolutely worth it!

We have an Ergo Baby and love love love it. Joseph wears it all the time, Bree loves it, and if she falls asleep or anything its easy to undo and get her out. I do recommend the newborn attachment thing....we didn't get it (because I wanted to try and make one..didn't happen) but totally wished we had. I also have a Moby wrap and like it but it kinda is big and hard to get her in and out. Found this today and thought of you:)

I am glad you are getting one. They are necessary in my opinion. I don't really know how to go about purchasing one though. We really miss you too. We've actually got a christmas card for you. Can you email us your address? Good luck with the baby!

yes, I'm a blog stalker... but I have to add my two cents here, lol! I made a sling for my new baby (she's almost 6 weeks now, so they are close cousins) that is the over-the-shoulder sash kind, I don't know what it's called except a sling... not a front carrier or anything. but I love it, she snuggles right in there and sleeps. I've been taking her to class in it and everything; it's handy for RSV season cuz no one really touches the baby when their face is right by your boob, and you can pull it over her face better. it was really easy to make, custom to my size though, so Jeremy can't use it. but he wouldn't anyway, he thinks carriers are too girly or something lame... anyway, that's my 2 cents, I love the sling, and so does she!
