Here comes Brazil!

I know many of you have mentioned that I need a new post. I must apologize; it has almost been a month. Niev is still cute, rambunctious and sleeping very happily in her big-girl bed (yippee!!!). I think I needed to have more patience and understanding. She isn't as old as I try to make her be sometimes. Live and learn.

Ian has been asked to speak at an art conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This has been in the works for several months, but I didn't want to admit that it was going to happen because I couldn't go with him. With the prep for this trip and Ian working in order to catch up on the work he will be missing while in Brazil, I was doing a lot of Mommy/wife duties. He is safely in Brazil, I am safely in Parma, Idaho with Niev at my parents' house and life is good. Ian stays in Brazil for a week. I am sure I would blog more, but I just got Niev down and am totally exhausted.

Being a single-mom for a week is no fun at all! (Stacey, I don't know how you do it! I am about to lose my mind and I only have one!)

You know my silly parent had to call and tell me all about your being back in the Parm, because that's what they do, they still tell me about everything going on there! It's good to see things are going well for you. It's exceptionally hot down here in the ATL and I've got a monthly a/c bill to prove it. But in total, all is well. Steph, Samantha, Scarlett, and Shepherd seem to like it. Well, we just assume Shepherd likes it anyway, since he didn't cover my white shirt with by spitting out his carrots before church this week...

Yup...I still talk/write too much...

Finally! I've been missing your posts and knowing what you guys are up to! That is so awesome that Ian got to go to Brazil to speak, what an awesome opportunity!! We still miss you, please post some pictures soon!

Funny story: Tyler loves to look through our photo albums and point out all the people he knows in the pictures. He was looking at some of the pictures from my bday a couple years ago (when we went to the park and played croquet) and there's a picture of you and me and Melinda sitting on a blanket and every time he looks at it he calls YOU mamma! So I'll ask him, "where's mom?!" and he points again to your picture and says,"mamma". So I point to me in the picture and say "isn't this mamma?" and then he'll point to you and me and call us both mamma! Apparently he thinks we look a lot alike! Ha Ha!

WHAT?!?! Ian is in Brasil?? Holy Crap how I envy him. I wish I could go back someday. I'm glad to hear things are going well. I can't wait to talk to Ian all about what he thought of Brasil. Hopefully he got some good food, and got to see some pretty sights.

It was great seeing you, Lora, while Ian as in Brazil. Too bad we didn't have more time to visit. It was great that you came 4-wheeling with us. Hope it didn't put too much pressure on that baby of yours. Love you much!
