I don't know how so much time has escaped me lately, but it has been forever since I posted. And unfortunately I don't have much time right now. Niev is as cute as ever and really does steal everyone's heart that she is around.
My grandma's best friend for 60 years, Hazel Fewkes, died on Mother's Day. She is a one-of-a-kind woman. My grandma, Thora, is hilarious and is the life of the party and her and Hazel made quite a pair. Hell, damn and more choice words that would only make me blush were a regular part of her vocabulary. She will be greatly missed. Anyway, Niev and I went to her funeral in Portland (Ian had to stay and work). I met my grandma, Mom and two of my aunts. We stayed with my sister, Julie, and had a great time. Niev kept us all giggling and entertained. My aunt, Noreen, is an avid Diet Pepsi drinker (sorry Paula) and Niev became truly addicted. She would beg Noreen who has the softest heart of anyone for some of her "juice". Noreen couldn't help but give it to her watered down just a bit.
It was also great to have Ian's mom, Paula, here. She was able to paint while visiting with Ian in his garage. She gobbled up every minute with Niev she could possibly get. Here is a video we sent her a few months ago:
So maybe that will explain a little bit of why I have not blogged for a while. I have not been feeling as good during this pregnancy and I look forward to the beginning of June when the first trimester is over. We are very blessed and excited to add to our little family. We cannot wait to see Niev's reaction to the baby. We are due near the middle of December (Angela, I cannot believe we are going to have ANOTHER baby so close together. I wish we lived closer so we could wallow in our sorrows together of morning sickness!). Life is good. Ian's career keeps progressing faster than we ever anticipated. No complaints from our happy household!
